By accessing or using CatchUp ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CatchUp.
2. Description of Service
CatchUp is an AI-powered television companion that provides spoiler-safe episode recaps, season summaries, and watch-along assistance. The service is provided for personal, non-commercial use only. CatchUp does not host, stream, or distribute any television content.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use CatchUp (or 16 years of age if you are located in the European Union or a jurisdiction where a higher minimum age applies). By creating an account, you represent that you meet the applicable age requirement.
4. User Accounts
You must create an account to access certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse CatchUp. This includes, but is not limited to: attempting to reverse engineer or scrape the service, using the service to generate harmful, misleading, or unlawful content, attempting to circumvent security measures or usage limits, impersonating other users or persons, or using the service for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
6. AI-Generated Content & Accuracy
CatchUp uses artificial intelligence to generate summaries, recaps, and commentary. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or "hallucinations." We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content. All content is provided for entertainment purposes only and should not be treated as a definitive factual record.
7. Intellectual Property
All television show titles, characters, storylines, and related content referenced by CatchUp are the property of their respective copyright holders. CatchUp does not claim ownership over any third-party intellectual property. Our AI-generated summaries are intended as informational commentary only. CatchUp does not reproduce, distribute, or display any copyrighted content beyond what is necessary to describe publicly available plot information.
8. Privacy
Your use of CatchUp is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.
9. Service Availability
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with or without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.
10. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. You may also delete your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the service will immediately cease.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
CatchUp is provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CatchUp and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including but not limited to loss of data or loss of profits, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of CatchUp shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Where changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you directly. Continued use of CatchUp after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
